Archie Looks To Oulton Park For A Solid Weekend

Archie Hamilton has switched to Redline Racing ahead of the Oulton Park race weekend (30th/31st/1st August), moving from Brookspeed Racing.

Oulton Park will host rounds 5 & 6 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship, supporting the hugely popular British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Friday Free Practice sessions will allow Archie to familiarise himself with his new team and car.

Archie comments: “I’m really excited to be joining Redline Racing for the Oulton Park weekend and beyond. The biggest help will be having Dan (Cammish) in the team, who is leading the championship. Being able to see what he’s doing on the day and getting faster with his references will be helpful.”

Archie will head out on Saturday for a 20 minute Qualifying session, that will set the grid for the first Porsche race on Saturday afternoon. The results from Race one will dictate the TV race on Sunday afternoon, live on ITV4.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Archie said: “Oulton Park will be a tricky track to get used to with limited time in the new team/car. It’s tight and twisty and requires a lot of technique. But, I’m looking forward to making it out on track and getting stuck in.

“The weather is looking a little bit mixed at the moment so let’s see what the does. We’re looking for a solid set of results this weekend to get some proper points on the board and just to be able to continually get closer to the front.”
