Archie Hamilton Ready for Redemption at Donington Park

Archie Hamilton returns to action in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB this weekend (September 19/20) aiming to bounce back in style after a freak engine fire caused him to retire at Brands Hatch last time out.

Heading to the Kent circuit, Archie was riding high after taking four straight podium finishes to open the season and was aiming to claim his first win in the brand-new series, before disaster struck just a handful of laps into the first practice session.

Despite the disappointment, he and the team at Redline Racing are ready to respond in style as the championship returns to Donington Park for the second time this season, racing in support of the British GT Championship.

Archie will head on to track in his RhinoFab Equipment and UFI Filters Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 Clubsport on Saturday, September 19 for qualifying at 11:50, with two races following on Sunday at 11:10 and 16:40, both of which will be broadcast live on the GTWorld channel on YouTube.

Supporters can still back Archie via his Team AHR Fan Club throughout the rest of the season, with three exciting packages to choose from. These include prize draws and autographed caps, with Gold Members able to display a picture on his race car.

Archie Hamilton

“Brands Hatch was such bad luck, but we’ve moved on from that now and are focused on having a strong, positive weekend at Donington Park. I cannot thank the team at Redline Racing enough for all the hard worked they’ve done to get the car repaired for this weekend.

“I’m going to be trying my best to reward them, my sponsors RhinoFab Equipment and UFI Filters, and all the fans who have been sending me positive messages of support, with a strong showing this time out. These things happen, but hopefully we can bounce back with success!”

Dino Zamparelli – Coach & Partnership Manager

“It was incredibly unlucky for Archie at Brands Hatch, but we’ve all moved on and accept that these things happen in sport. We had a good time at Donington Park in tricky conditions in August so know we can be competitive around the circuit and will be working very hard to help Archie hit the ground running from the first time we head out on track.”
